Vostochny Port JSC became the first coal terminal in the Russian Far East region that was awarded with ISO 14001:2015 certificate “Environmental management systems. Requirements with guidance for use”.
The ISO certificate obtained by Vostochny Port JSC confirms that the terminal complies both with Russian legislation and international requirements, related to control of the risk factors in production activities and environmental impact. A complex inspection of Vostochny Port’s environmental management system compliance was initiated by the management of the company.
Experts of “DNV GL – Business Assurance” in December 2017 audited the compliance of the activities and the environmental management system (EMS) of Vostochny Port with all the necessary requirements of the international standard.
The management of the terminal is focused on a comprehensive approach to ensuring environmental and occupational safety, the quality of services provided and improvement of the efficiency of coal handling techniques.
