The Department of Subsoil Use in the Siberian Federal District determined the winner of the auction for mining in Kuzbass.
JSC “Coal Company “Kuzbassrazrezugol” was the only one company which participated and now has the right for exploration and mining of coal near Mezhdurechensk.
Also, JSC “Coal Company “Kuzbassrazrezugol” should carry out the full set of liquidation works at the Sludge settling tanks of the Chertinskaya processing plant area in Belovo.
For a 25-year license JSC “Coal Company “Kuzbassrazrezugol” paid RUB 420 mln. Investments of coal miners will be in amount RUB 142 billion and planning yearly rate of coal mining will exceed 15 million tons.
The mining area is located further north of the mine named «Raspadskiy» belonged to «Evraz» and the mine «Olzherassky» of the company «Southern Kuzbass», both outcrop mines.
The plot area is 142.5 sq km. It is located in the taiga, the movement in which is possible only on temporary dirt roads.
Prognosticated resources are semi-soft coal (528.3 million), high vol coking coal (144.5 million), mid vol coking coal (52.4 million), Low vol T PCI (329.4 million), anthracite and semi-anthracite (278.25 million).
